The staff of the SBDC Center for Government Contracting held the first in-person Supplier Vendor Networking Breakfast of 2022 on March 9th at the UTSA Downtown Campus. This dynamic networking event provided opportunities for small business owners to highlight their product/services to contractors, suppliers, and vendors. We were honored to hear from Terri Williams, Director of the SBDC Center for Government Contracting share an overview of how our programs here at UTSA support small businesses in navigating supply chain issues - from contracting support to cybersecurity resources and assessment. Daniel Olvera, Business Development Specialist with our SBDC COVID Business Recovery Accelerator, shared information on Supply Chain Opportunities as businesses pivot to survive and thrive through the pandemic. Representatives of Port San Antonio shared how this essential port of entry serves as a critical gateway to global trade, contributing significantly to the state and local economy in unique ways, and what this means for local entrepreneurs. Small Business Procurement advocates from government agencies, prime contractors and key service providers were in attendance to provide valuable insights on how to do business with their agency, announce contracting opportunity updates and issue important updates. Thank you to all those that attended and we look forward to seeing YOUR small business at our next Supplier Vendor Networking Breakfast!
