The Alliance Program

UTSA has added a new program to assist business owners, especially those in construction related industries, interested in doing business with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This program is the Alliance and operates as a resource available in the UTSA Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) office area.

The Alliance Program works to increase the participation of disadvantaged business owners in the highway construction industry. The Program provides Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) with firm-specific training and guidance to help them become competitive within the heavy highway or construction industry.  The Alliance program prepares DBEs to move into nontraditional areas of work and to compete in the marketplace outside the DBE program.

The Alliance Program provides networking opportunities, project-matching assistance between subcontractors and primes, and access to training in the areas of business development, business management and construction management.

SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Classroom and Workshop Components
  • Industry Technical Assistance
  • Vendor Events
  • Industry Partnering at the Local, State, and Federal levels

The UTSA Alliance Program covers the following TXDoT Service areas:

  • Austin
  • Corpus Christi
  • Laredo
