2021 TXSW Network Annual Report

The UTSA Center for Government Contracting is pleased to share the results of activities leading to client success and economic impact for FY16. Through the financial resources of our stakeholders which include the Department of Defense, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of Texas, and JPMorgan Chase Foundation, programs have been implemented to provide services in the areas of government contracting, human resource management, emergency preparedness, technology commercialization, and veterans business development.

Our team of business specialists and administrative professionals are responsible for serving over 769 clients through 2,700 hours of advising and technical assistance which resulted in the award of over $64.3 million in federal, state, and local contracts.   The successes of some of our clients are featured throughout this report, which reflects the support of our stakeholder contributions.

In the upcoming year, we look forward to servicing the manufacturing community to increase contracting opportunities with the federal government and targeting those companies with growth potential in new markets.  Increased marketing to bring awareness to businesses in each service area county will be a priority in the new fiscal year.  Plans to enhance client success include implementing new workshops, enhancing cybersecurity awareness and supplier development for small businesses.  The Business Resource Lab/Construction Plans Room will continue to be instrumental for our construction related clients to access plans, specifications, training, technical assistance and computer resources for success in the construction industry.  Our programs serve the entire 79-counties of the South-West Texas Border Region.
